Greg Parker

Class of 2007
Shenendehowa Plainsmen
Greg was a 5 time section 2 champ for the Plainsmen from 1995 through 1999 and was a New York State Champion in 1996. He is one of only four wrestlers to have 5 section 2 titles and one of only two to do it before the tournament split into two divisions.

Greg Parker's accomplishments as a Princeton wrestler were nothing short of extraordinary. Parker was the 174-pound NCAA runner-up his junior year, when he became the first Princeton wrestler in 17 years and the fifth ever to reach an NCAA final. Wrestling in Albany's Times Union Center, Greg defeated the top-ranked wrestler in his weight class in the semifinals and then fell in the championship final after tearing cartilage in his rib cage during the match. He went 33-2 that year.

He finished eighth at the NCAA championships in 2003, his senior year, to earn All-America honors for the second time.

Parker was also a two-time EIWA champion, including one EIWA Most Outstanding Wrestler honor. He was a three-time All-Ivy League selection and holds the Princeton record for career wins.

He was also a two-time Academic All-America and an Academic All-Ivy League selection.
