Class of 2007

John J. Mulligan was born in Luzerne County, PA on December 8, 1928 and graduated prep school from Wyoming Seminary, Wilkes-Barre, PA in 1948, lettering in wrestling and football.

John graduated from Springfield College in 1956. There, he was the New England collegiate wrestling champion 3 times. John taught history at Saratoga Springs High School for over 25 years. He was very active in promoting wrestling in the Capital District. With his close friend, the late Dick Joyce, John established the long-running Saratoga Summer Wrestling Tournament.

John also refereed high school and college wrestling for many years and was named to Halls of Fame at both levels.
