10-0 at 2 day Bethlehem round Robin with 8 pins
This battle between two tough Suburban Council Teams has several match-ups of state tournament caliber wrestlers who gear up for this week’s match of the week between Saratoga Springs and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake. We have Burnt Hills returning Gabe Goss, Liam and Colin Carlin, Tyler Whiteley, Josh Warland, and Thomas Pawlinga from the state tournament. They will be facing off with state tournament reps Taylor Beaury and Gordon Murray from Saratoga. Also there is some young wrestlers ready to make a statement such as Brody DiCaprio (8th grade) from Burnt Hills, then Gianni Delgado (10th grade), Chase Matter (9th grade) and Danny Dacey (9th grade) from Saratoga. Both teams look to battle it out this Wednesday December 7th at 6pm.

[CNY News] xx Update on
September 13, 2022, 10:05:24 AM by webmstr
As I announced last year, my goal is to complete the 22-23 and 23-24 wrestling seasons and cap my career at 20 years. To do that, I needed to find somebody to rewrite the outdated code that runs the website and then give the website a full rewrite to modern technologies. I have not been successful at finding anyone to do either. This meant that if I walked away, the website would no longer run in any capacity as the software would not run on any modern web servers. So, to avoid losing 20 years of work, I had to rewrite the underlying code on nights and weekends this past spring/summer. Fortunately, I have just about completed that process.

Over the coming days and possibly weeks, I'll begin the arduous task of uploading all of the updated files to the server. To do this, I first have to change some settings on my web server that will render various parts of the website inaccessible from time to time. The goal is to always have the launch page and this forum running at all times so I can report any progress updates. Eventually, when all updated files have been uploaded, I'll be looking for assistance in finding things that used to work that don't any longer. If I did this right, the public appearance of the website will be unchanged. This was simply rewriting the core code that runs all the web pages. You should still see the familiar that you've come to expect over the years. Please check back on this forum post for updates along the way.

This forum software has already been updated to the newest version and will run on the new web server. That process was also long and tedious, but was completed over the summer. It appears everything is functioning as it should, but if you notice anything, please report it here. One thing I know that did NOT survive the upgrade are the custom forum avatars. If you don't know what that is, you don't have to worry about it because you don't have one. However, if you uploaded your own custom avatar, you'll need to upload it again. You'll know that it didn't work because your forum avatar will show as the default "red x" instead of a picture. So far, that's all I have noticed that did not survive the upgrade.

And, one final friendly reminder that I do still plan on retiring after two more seasons. I'm looking for someone to not only take over the daily operations of the website but to also entirely rewrite the website with modern web technologies. There has been some initial talks in merging all sectional wrestling websites into one statewide wrestling website, but those are just talks at this point. Should something come to fruition out of that, I would be willing to stay on as long as it took to complete the herculean task. However, as of this moment, the 2023-24 season will be my last. Pass the word if you know some software engineers out there that appreciate a good challenge!

Updates to follow as I steadily progress along...
